Heavy Whipping Cream

No-Cook Strawberry Ice Cream

Fresh fruit ice cream kept simple.

30 minutes (plus chilling, processing and freezing)

  • 1 pound strawberries, halved
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups Horizon heavy cream


Mash strawberries with sugar, lemon juice and salt in a large bowl. Let stand for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Place half of strawberry mixture in blender and purée with heavy cream until smooth. Return strawberry cream to bowl with remaining strawberries and chill overnight.

Process mixture in ice cream maker according to manufacturer's directions. Once processed, cover and freeze until firm.
